Dual Drive Technologies™ (Dual Drive) offers a natural gas compression system featuring the powerful combination of both a natural gas engine and electric motor. These two drivers are both capable of individually powering the compressor.

Dual Drive's patented technology is designed for a seamless transition between drivers via a custom designed clutch without loss of throughput by allowing the driver to take over the compression load. The proprietary control system is designed and installed by Prime Controls using Allen Bradley technology to be monitored both on site or remotely. The driver transfer takes less than one minute and can be initiated when it is the most optimum time to run either the natural gas engine or electric motor based on current market conditions.

The Dual Drive Technology system is designed to take advantage of utility pricing markets, facility emission flexibility and maintenance savings.
